Punk & comics weekend in Herceg Novi – Anarchy in HN
Herceg Novi is calling! After I got tired of winter and snow, I got in touch with my friend from HSF, the team never rests! After organizing the 10th HSF (read about it here) in September last year, this time they are preparing a Punk & comics weekend from 7th to 9th April. Already confirmed guests are: Rufus Dayglo (UK) and Walter Trono (Italy) with the support of local comic artists and Psihomodo Pop from Croatia in charge of this music part.
Rufus Dayglo is a British artist working mainly in illustration, comics and storyboards. He is working with some of the world’s most famous publishers such as 2000 ad, IDW, Image Comics, DC Vertigo. He relaunched ”Tank girl”, worked on ”Judge Dredd”, just finished work on ”Counterfeit girl”, ”Bad Company” and ”Last gang in town”, which will be promoted on this comic-weekend. According to the bio on his website, he loves Gundam, coffee and Kit Kats (now you know the ways to corrupt him).
I believe Walter needs no introduction, but I’ll do it anyway 🙂 Walter Trono was one of the headliners on the 10th HSF back in September last year and we had the pleasure of doing an interview with him. He is currently working as an artist on Dragonero for Sergio Bonelli Editore and as an author/artist on ”Testa e Croce” (his own project) for IT Comics. Loves punk, rock and roll and is a great guy! (I can personally guarantee it).
On the music side, Croatian punk-rock band Psihomodo pop will be in charge with a free concert. Also a movie ”Sid and Nancy” will be shown during this event in honor of 40 years of Sid Vicious joining the Sex Pistols. The plan is also the opening of a comic-book store by the HSF team.
If you love comics or punk-rock, this is a no-brainer, head on down to Montenegro and see the Anarchy in Herceg Novi!
